Grimsbu Turistsenter is located just by the Dovre mountains in central Norway. Grimsbu Turistsenter (Tourist Centre) is very family friendly, but is also the perfect choice for young people and for hunters in the autumn hunting season. We have cottages and cabins in all sizes.

The Rønning family wish you welcome to the Norwegian mountains. Ms Tove Rønning is the manager of Grimsbu Tourist Centre and the daughter of Mr Kaare Rønning and Mrs Jorunn Rønning who started the tourist centre in 1963.

We have always had good personal relations with our guests, and some of our regular guests often sit with us in the kitchen reading the morning papers. We have modern sanitary facilities with saunas, washing machines, dry cleaners, drying room, nursery room, toilets and showers. You may also freely use a guest kitchen with both stoves and a large dish-washer.

We also have facilities for disabled with the required standard for showers and toilets. A work-out room with modern work-out equipment is also available for our guests. Many of our guests return year after year. Welcome to us!

Hiking Opportunities & Experiences

Experiences

The mountains around Grimsbu have many exciting experiences to offer. The terrain is varied — from gentle slopes and family-friendly mountains to the wilder peaks of Rondane, where real mountain experiences await with good possibilities for mountain climbing.
The wild and deserted mountains have many fishing waters owned by the state of Norway, available to everyone for a small fee. There are many opportunities for river canoeing — both in calm, family-friendly rivers and in tough rivers for those seeking a thrilling adventure.
A trip on the river is a very nice way to travel in the wild when the massive forces of the river carry you through the landscape. The children will love this way of travelling. We hope you will pay us a visit to try the mountain experience in real life!
